| Haute Off The Set
Hello, finally I’m getting around to writing in this blog. Well the strike is over, Hallelujah! And today was my first day back on the set of Scrubs, one of the few shows to survive the cuts that came as a result of the strike imposed "hiatus". Needless to say we are overjoyed. The Scrubs set is unique in that we’re really like a family, many of the crew members and cast have been with the show since the begining. I’m a "newbie" I came on board the fifth season and I’m still hanging in there.
So much happened during the strike, I wanted to write about it but honestly, I was depressed for the first month and then scrambling like my co-workers to find work. Work…well a semblence of it. I did 3 small feature films. It seems that the smart writers and producers who’ve had scripts tucked away took advantage of the available crews to hire us at bargin basement prices to get their independent films produced. Mostly it was a blast, I had the opportunity to help some really talented people see their dreams become reality. One of the projects "Beauties and the Beast" was written, produced and directed by one of the Scrubs writers, Aseem, who is a doll. It was great to see the old crew, we shot at the Scrubs lot/hospital and really had a ball. The plot involved southern belles and their daughters and beauty pagents, it’s your guess who were the beauties and who the beasts. Keep your eyes peeled for it.
I will be adding some behind the scenes pics for your viewing pleasure in addition to access to the products we use to create the looks on our glamourous cast of doctors, nurses and guess stars so stay tuned and send me your questions, whatever info I can pass on I’m willing.
Welcome to the first edition of Haute Off The Set, for all of you loyal supporters of HauteZine.com this is the beginning of the re-birth or "re- launch" if you will, of the first online e-zine for people like us… Beauty, Fashion and Entertainment Aficionados who have a “need to know” what’s new and Hot! Stay tuned…for video clips of Hollywoods top stylist, doing what they do on set with their celebrity clients and…if you have a question you’d like answered by a stylist, let me know, post your questions and comments to this page. Well, this year has been (another) busy one, I am back on Scrubs, the 2 time Emmy nominated Hospital "Dramedy" starring Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Judy Reyes and Sarah Chalke, not to mention our fabulous co-star of the last few episodes (and Zach’s characters new love thang) Ms. Elizabeth Banks. I’m waiting to hear back from the Celebrity Fit Club on when we begin our 5th season with VH1, who would’ve thought that a show about celeb’s trying to get back in shape would be so successful? |

HauteZine.com went behind the scenes of the first annual charity fashion show hosted by the students of Beverly Hills High. The procedes from the event went to the Vaghn Setian Charitable Foundation, an organization founded by the students in honor of their fallen student, Vaghn Setian. All of the makeup used on the students and for the charity auction was donated by a host of big hearted cosmetics companies (Hautelines) All of the makeup artist in attendance, IATSE Local 706 Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Union and the cosmetics companies, volunteered their time for this great cause. And all of the models were from the student body of Beverly Hills High.
